If you already own a Blendtec, you don't need to buy a separate vacuum blender. The VOID Lid turns your Blendtec into one. Put it on your jar, press Go, and when it's ready, switch the lid off and blend. Smoothies come out smoother, with less foam and less browning, and they don't separate as fast in the glass. You'll notice it most if you blend in the morning and drink later, or make one batch for two people.

What it fits

Blendtec WildSide+, WildSide and Fourside jars, and the Professional 800 with its sound enclosure in place. It doesn't fit Vitamix, Ninja or KitchenAid jars. If you have a classic Vitamix, get the Retrofit Kit instead, which comes with a jar the lid fits. If you have a Vitamix Ascent or Venturist, a Ninja or a KitchenAid, the Complete System is our own vacuum blender, with the lid included.

In the box

  • The VOID lid, fitted with its silicone sealing gasket
  • A spare lid gasket. Keep it as a spare and use one gasket at a time, because two stacked together will stop the lid from releasing.
  • A magnetic wireless charger
  • A magnetic USB-A cable and a USB-A to USB-C adapter
  • The user manual, which you can also read online

There's no jar, since you use your own. The lid charges from almost any USB phone charger, so we don't put a wall plug in the box. A charge lasts about a month of everyday use, and we figured you'd rather use a charger you already have than keep a new one in a drawer.

The lid isn't dishwasher safe. Full care instructions are under Care and cleaning below.

Returns and warranty

You have thirty days from purchase to return or exchange it on U.S. orders. On a change of mind return you cover the return shipping, and once we've agreed the return, it needs to ship within 7 business days, or a 10% fee applies. Keep your receipt showing the purchase date. We can't accept returns on orders shipped outside the United States, though the warranty still applies to those orders.

Warranty runs three years on vacuum lids, five years on blender bases, and one year on jars. The warranty page sets out what a repair costs and when.

Questions, a return or a warranty claim: email CS@voidvac.com. Spare gaskets, jars, blade assemblies and chargers are in the Spare Parts collection.

Care and cleaning

VOID lids and jars aren't dishwasher safe. Rinse the lid under running water with a little dish soap, but do not submerge it, and keep the wireless charger away from water. The gasket comes off so you can clean underneath it.

Do not refrigerate or freeze the lid, and do not pour boiling water into it.

Shipping

Shipping is calculated at checkout. VOID lids are designed and assembled in the U.S.A.

The twenty-minute test

We put the same ingredients into two VOID blenders and ran one with the vacuum on and the other with it off. These photographs were taken 20 minutes after pouring.

Four steps

Loading a VOID jar with fresh fruit
1

Load the jar. Greens and leaves on the bottom, frozen fruit and ice on top.

Seating the VOID lid on the jar and choosing a preset
2

Put the lid on, pick a preset, press Go. Wet the gasket first and it lifts off easier later.

3

Turn the lid off, then blend. The vacuum holds on its own while the blades do the work.

4

Pull the red tab and pour. Venting breaks the seal. Until then the lid stays locked shut.

Where are you ordering from?

Pick one of the options above and the answer appears here.

The lid fits your Blendtec.

Order the lid on its own. It fits the jar you have, and you don't need the kit or the Complete System.

WildSide+, WildSide and Fourside jars all work, and so does the Professional 800 with its sound enclosure in place. If you'd rather have the whole thing in one box, the Complete System is a full blender with the vacuum lid included.

See the VOID lid, $199.00

For a Ninja or KitchenAid, order the Complete System.

The lid seals only against Blendtec and VOID jars, so it won't fit yours. The Complete System is a full blender with the vacuum lid included and a basic lid for ordinary blending, so it takes the place of the one you have.

Email us a photo and we'll check.

Send a picture of your blender to CS@voidvac.com and we'll tell you whether the lid fits it before you order anything.

If you'd rather not wait, the Complete System is a full blender with the vacuum lid included, so it doesn't depend on what you have. It has a US plug for 100 to 120 volt outlets.

The Retrofit Kit fits your base.

It includes a VOID jar and adapter gasket that fit your base, and your Vitamix motor does the blending.

That covers the 5000, Super 5000, 5200, 5300, 6300, 6500, 7500, 780, Pro 300, Pro 750, CIA, TurboBlend, and the Explorian E310, E320 and E520. Some bases need a small trim to the VOID adapter gasket before it seals. The trim is to our gasket, not your base, and it doesn't affect your VOID warranty.

See the Retrofit Kit for classic Vitamix bases, $299.00

Those bases need the Complete System.

A smooth top with no rubber pad is a Self-Detect base, and the Retrofit Kit doesn't fit it. The Complete System is our own blender with the VOID lid included. You can keep your Vitamix for hot soups and nut butters and use the VOID for smoothies, which is where you'll notice the vacuum most.

This covers the Ascent A2300, A2500, A3300 and A3500, and the Venturist.

Send us a photo of the base and we'll tell you.

Email a picture looking down at the top of the base, where the jar sits, to CS@voidvac.com. We'll tell you which one you need before you order anything.

A grooved black rubber pad takes the Retrofit Kit. A smooth top with no pad, which is the Ascent or the Venturist, takes the Complete System.

We don't ship outside the United States from this site.

The lid and the Retrofit Kit fit the same blenders wherever you are, and the lid charges from any USB port, so voltage isn't the issue. Delivery is. Email us your country and your blender and we'll tell you the current options.

Orders shipped outside the United States can't be returned, though the warranty still applies and we'll repair it.

Ordering from outside the US

Buy from LUBA, our European distributor.

LUBA GmbH in Germany sells the lid and a compatible jar under the Madalga name, on their own delivery and returns terms, and ships across Europe.

The lid is the same one we make here and the fit is the same: Blendtec jars take the lid on its own, classic Vitamix bases take the VM2 jar. LUBA doesn't list the Complete System.

How to order in Europe

Start with the blender you have.

Choose it above. If it isn't on the list, or you don't have a blender yet, the Complete System is a full blender with the vacuum lid included.

I was really impressed with the Void vacuum lid and found the taste and color of my smoothies to be much improved. Unfortunately, the lid failed within 3 months of purchase and is now unable to create a vacuum seal. Very disappointed.

Three months is far too soon, Bart, especially after you'd seen what it did for your smoothies. Our team has already emailed you about getting it sealing again, so please check your inbox.

I am very satisfied with this product, it performs just as you claim and customer reviews proclaim. I make a lot of juice, the absence or reduced oxygen seepage allows for a longer shelf life. With the cost of everything in today’s world that equates to less waste. It’s a small investment which has helped to stretch my wallet a bit, not mention the quality of my drinks has greatly improved both in taste and health benefits. I would recommend this product.

Maria, thank you for such a thorough review. We're glad your juices are keeping longer and tasting better.

New to Vaccuum Blending

The Void Vaccuum Lid itself seems to be high quality product. I use it specifically with my new Blentec 800 series blender. The initial charge has lasted a long time. I am careful when rinsing but small pieces of food can still ente inside the pump assembly but the entry holes are very small. One time, the output pressure seemed to be lower than usual. I thought that was it but after carefully rinsing and shaking the lid assembly hard and holding it firmly, the next use resulted the pressure building back up to normal. When operating the lid, after the pressure builds to the expected level, I shut the unit down. This not only saves battery but also helps to lower the possibility of bits of food from being sacked into the pump and this action seems to extend the life of the vaccum pump lid. Customer service has been outstanding. Thanks Jen. You were extremely responsive to my emails and responded with with useful information and videos I could leverage as a new user. Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality and operation, and light user maintenance of the Void Vaccum Lid.

A new level of blending and juicing

I was excited on embarking on blending and juicing. I did have an issue which was that the Void Lid was not performing as expected. Ms. Jen in the service of Void vacuum lid saved the day. She was in communication for servicing the void vacuum lid. I am looking forward to the more powerful VOID lid next year. Thank you.

Not sure yet, a bit complicated. Not very practical. I require more time to be able to clearly experience the quality.

Better Green Smoothie

I've been using this 4-5 times per week for about 6 weeks now. Battery holds holds a great charge. Cleaning doesn't take much more than a standard lid. Function is quick & intuitive which is a must. My main reason for purchasing was to prevent the separation in green smoothies and it does that well.

Fantastic Product

We will never go back to regular blending. Our smoothies and shakes are so much better.

I live in Australia. Bought this direct from Void Systems. The first one sucked in liquid while blending. So I Bought a second which only worked 4 times and won't power on. My emails to Void Systems have completely been ignored for one month now. Too much money to waste on a product that doesn't work.

So worth it!!!

I wasn’t sure why I would need a separate specialized blender lid for any reason until I tried this. It really does make such a difference in the way things taste but also maintaining all the health benefits of the food you’re putting in the blender. Everyone needs this!!

Uprade to my green smothies

I make a green smoothie every morning and use my blender sometimes twice a day for other things. I was excited to try out this new vacuum blender lid for it. It had a bit of a learning curve of how to use it and get it to fit on correctly. Yet once I figured that out it worked great. I love it and definitely can taste a difference with my smoothies.

Not as intimidating as expected

I wasn’t sure what to expect, especially since there are no other reviews on it yet. But I’ve been starting to hear more and more about vacuum blending in the health world. So wanted to try it.
The instructions were pretty straight forward (once I realized what a gasket is- it’s the rubber seal around the lid ;)
So far all I’ve used it for is smoothies and a few other random test experiments, like sealing a canning jar 🤯. But those smoothies have tasted and held up great. I was able to keep leftover smoothie in the fridge and my kids ate it after school thinking it was fresh. It wasn’t a gray sludge like in the past.
All around I think this is solid engineering and definitely takes your blending to the next level.
